How ReelGifts works
ReelGifts helps you find a gift idea without starting from a blank page. You spin three reels, set a budget, and get suggestions you can save and share.
What ReelGifts is
It is a gift discovery app that runs in the browser. There is nothing to download, and you do not create an account. Ideas describe a kind of gift. They are not a shop catalogue, and a suggestion is not a promise that something is in stock.
The three reels
- Occasion includes Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding and Just Because.
- Who's it for? includes Partner, Friend, Kid, Colleague, Parent and Anyone. Boy, Girl or Any is an extra filter on that reel.
- Vibe includes Thoughtful, Funny, Experience, Creative, Cosy and Adventurous.
You can spin a reel or tap the option you want if it is on screen.
How ideas are personalised
Find My Gift uses the reel choices, the budget, and any extra details you choose to add. Those details can be a few notes about the person. You can also skip them and ask for ideas straight away.
The result is a suggestion for a kind of gift, with a short reason tied to the choices you made. You can pass and see another idea, or keep the one in front of you.
Budgets and extra details
Budgets are in pounds. The bands start at Under £10 and £10–£25, then £25–£50, £50–£100, £100–£250, and higher bands from £250. Any leaves the range open. The price shown on an idea is an estimate so the idea can sit in a band. It is not a price from a shop.
A small budget does not guarantee a cheaper product is available to buy. It steers the kind of idea you see. The gifts under £25 guide explains the two bands that cover that range.
My Stash
Keep an idea and it stays in My Stash with the search it came from. A birthday search and a Christmas search stay separate, which helps when you are buying for more than one person. You can continue that search, start a new spin, or clear the stash.
Friends voting
From a saved search, Ask Friends creates one link. Friends open it, pick a single favourite, and do not need an account. They can change that vote later. You see the totals on your results page. Voting does not buy the gift, and you can still choose something else.
Where to buy
A saved gift can show Where to buy when ReelGifts has a retailer option for that gift in your shopping market. The link opens in a new tab. Many ideas do not have a shop link yet. Where to buy is not a live stock check and it does not confirm the estimated price on the idea.
Common questions
How does ReelGifts find personalised gift ideas?
You set the occasion, who the gift is for, and a vibe, then pick a budget. You can add a few more details or skip them. ReelGifts uses those choices to suggest kinds of gifts. A price on an idea is an estimate in pounds, not a confirmed shop price.
Is ReelGifts free to try?
Yes. You can spin and discover ideas in the browser without paying or downloading an app. Each day includes a free allowance of ideas. There is no purchase flow for extra ideas.
Can I save gift ideas?
Yes. Keep an idea and it is stored in My Stash with the search it came from. You can return to that shortlist, continue the search, or start a new spin.
How does friends voting work?
From My Stash you can ask friends to vote on gifts saved in one search. ReelGifts creates a link. Friends open it, choose one favourite, and do not need an account. You see the totals on your results page. Voting does not place an order.
Can I find places to buy the gifts?
Saved gifts can show Where to buy when ReelGifts has retailer options for that gift in your shopping market. Not every idea has a shop link. Where to buy is not a live stock check, and it does not confirm a price.
